The Fountain

In the movie The Fountain the symbolism of center is found. The tree represents life in the book the woman has wrote before she passes away. The tree is used to show that she will still be with her husband even after she dies. It will be a sacred place for the man and will have great meaning to him. Although the woman will pass away, this tree will keep living. It will give her husband a place to remember her after she is gone.  

"Is a Woman"

Repetition of the Cosmogonic Act is a concept used in this song "Is a Woman" by Lambchop. The leaf is going through a long and bumpy road to finallly reach his goal. "The road leading to the center is a "difficult road", in this song the center is the tree which the leaf returns to after such a long and difficult trip (Smith, 2005, p. 18). In the song the leaf must go through the river and rocks to get to where it belongs. Besides all the obstacles the leaves make it back to their "center". Emphasizing that every creation returns to its original place just like the leaves return to their tree.

Symbolism of Center

A place that has great meaning to me is the house I grew up in. That house contains all the good memories that I had during my childhood. Most importantly that house contains memories with my brother that I lost three years ago. The house means family to me and great memories. It makes me happy because it reminds me of when my family was complete.
